[About]
Teurastamo Presents is a recurring live music series held in the courtyard of Teurastamo, Helsinki's former slaughterhouse district turned urban cultural hub.
The series showcases emerging and established Finnish artists across indie, electronic, experimental and alternative music genres, creating a low-threshold cultural experience in a unique outdoor setting.
“Teurastamo Presents brings a wide range of high-quality Finnish alternative music to Teurastamo's summer yard. The free open-air concerts focus on experimental pop, indie rock and electronic music, in the spirit of Teurastamo. This summer's performers include Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Sophia Mitiku, Mikko Joensuu, Ghost World, Cats of Transnistria, Modem and Siinai.”
[Challenge]
The visual identity needed to establish Teurastamo Presents as a recognisable cultural programme while remaining flexible enough to accommodate a changing lineup of artists and performances throughout the summer season.
The challenge was to create a system that felt contemporary and bold, while reflecting Teurastamo's raw, independent character.
[Visual Identity]
The identity combines high-contrast colour combinations, condensed typography and layered imagery to create a visual language inspired by gig posters and contemporary music culture.
A modular layout system allows artist photography, event information and campaign messaging to be adapted across formats while maintaining a consistent visual presence. The result is a recognisable identity that balances programme flexibility with a strong overall brand expression.
